Continuing our projects with Latimer Minster, we completed the second phase of the Applebarn Rectory in 2012.

The project started the previous year, project managing the Planning application from sketches to final approval. Once ready, we began the works to demolish the derelict garage and replace it with a modern garage & gym, with flexible accommodation above that could serve the young & energetic family. Before completion the scope expanded to include an ambitious upgrade to the garden too, including an upgrade to the pool, a new resin-bound patio, fencing and seating area.

The project was run on a cost-plus basis, where all costs were declared to the client instead of a more typical fixed price contract. This system required active communication using the latest project management tools, but made the client significant savings that were used to fund the additional works.
